Here are five reasons why we reckon you should give Queensberry Photo Books a try 1. Quality and presentation matter The fact we've worked hard to make Photo Books more affordable doesn't mean they're lower quality. They're built to the same standard as our albums — the same cover construction, the same cover materials, the same quality control and attention to detail. Presentation is important too. Whether you're just starting out, looking at a supplying Queensberry albums or wanting to expand your offerings, you might find yourself thinking about cost; the cost of a product, the value for money, the experience your client will have when they receive a high quality, hand-made product. You can get an instant cost estimate for books and albums — in fact all our products — using our price calculators in Workspace. You can view and compare prices on screen, and even print a PDF.  You'll find the calculators under Prices in the main Workspace navigation. Sometimes, it’s the little things that make us smile and these wee "heirlooms" will become more valuable with every passing year. They're mini canvases from a gorgeous home shoot by Justin Aitken. We took a few minutes to enjoy them w hile Helen added the finishing touches, and we'd really love to see how they look on the wall. With the canvas re-launch, and the holiday season now upon us, the lab has been even busier than usual. The response has been amazing and we’re blown away, as always, by the calibre of the photographs we see. Victoria x P.S. To View More >>

We’ve introduced a new way for your clients to order a Q-Box. As a photographer you can order wholesale, provided you have an approved account. These notes are to help you sell Q-Boxes in your own shopping cart, at your own prices. Step 1 - Favourite the images: In your client's gallery, they can click the Workspace Heart to select the images they wish to include in their Q-Box. (For more on how to favourite images, click here.) And not to worry, they can add / remove / edit images later, in the shopping cart, if they change their minds. In 5 years look over your album. Your child is heading off to school for the first time, but the album's pages are filled with your first moments with your son or daughter.  Look over the pile of prints from your trip to South America, where you spent two months volunteering at an orphanage. You’d never felt so free.  Look over the album of your wedding. You weren’t sure whether you wanted it but your photographer convinced you otherwise. There's the moment you said I do. Tell me then, that printing doesn’t matter, because I can guarantee you won't.  To View More >>

It’s so refreshing to meet people who act as if the only thing coming between them and their dreams is a plan. Dmitry and Victoria Fedotov built a photography business serving some of the world’s wealthiest people by being clear about their goals and plans, by going the extra mile for their clients … and by shutting out the voices inside that say it can’t be done. I took the opportunity last Sunday to change how I did things. It was partly out of necessity, and partly curiosity. [caption id="attachment_1008" align="alignleft" width="324" caption="Jo and Jeremy"][/caption] My clients had indicated that they would like me to preplan their album. Normally we would shoot the wedding, put some images on our blog, then put about 100 in a web gallery. Then, when they arrived to collect their images, we would give them a box of previews. But we were running a little behind schedule and the prints were not going to be ready for their arrival. I decided not to put To View More >>

A while ago I suggested "keeping it simple" was a great goal ... but not simple to achieve in a complicated job like photography. But I did suggest you could do it with Queensberry. Take our Design Service. There are benefits to doing your own album design, so what I'm about to say isn't going to work for everyone. But if you're snowed under or uncomfortable with album design it's worth serious thought. Say on average you spend 3-4 hours on each album design ... and many people do spend a lot more. Send them to Queensberry and you've just freed up at least a day. You can bet that at this time of To View More >>

I'm often told that brides do all their research online and communicate with photographers only by email. And that it's normal to book a photographer based on such minimal interaction: "Stephen it's no use. They just want a price. It's all about the deal, so I just give them one and hope." I don't believe it. Or at least, I don't believe it's the only possibility. I wasn't going to start these posts this way, but maybe a simple response to this challenge is useful, something you can use immediately. Anyway, here's how I would reply. Rewrite it in your own words of course, but I hope it helps engage To View More >>
